The indoor percussion ensemble

The Indoor percussion Ensemble has been a part of the school for years now, and now is as good a time as any for a story on it especially when they get 3rd overall at state.

Vincent Cuellar, who has been in indoor for 4 years.¨For the record I played synth for 3 years and chimes for 1 year,¨ said Cuellar. ¨Everything about Indoor Percussion was extremely enjoyable and definitely worth the time I spent preparing for competition. I loved the director, the students involved, and the entire musical experience itself.¨

The Indoor Percussion Ensemble has 2 state titles in the Indiana percussion association. They are coached by Greg Wolff. The team has been practicing since November of 2018, and it definitely shows that practice pays off in order to get 3rd at state.

This year, the Indoor Percussion Ensemble performed a piece called Dreadnought, by Caleb Pickering. It was performed by the team members. The team members include: James Thompson, Collin Glover, Emilie Stewart, Kris Massengale, Lane Huffman, Jonathan Massengale, Trenton Sweigart, Vincent Cuellar, Aidan Loveless, Issac Goble, Jonathan Wells, and Corbin Madden.

If you see any of the members throughout the school, make sure to congratulate them, they deserve it. The team is very good, and definitely deserves so some more recognition,;they will definitely be very successful for several more years to come.
