The NC Phoenix has interviewed Kathryn Coy, who is a sophomore here at NCHS. We got to know her better with some of these questions.

What’s your favorite color?


What’s your favorite food?


If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? And why?

If I could go anywhere, it would probably be Germany. I have always been so interested learning about their culture and history. Also I would be able to see my girl Hannah Hamacher again.

Do you have any plans for college or after high school? And why?

After high school, I plan on furthering my education and going to college at Purdue. I’ve wanted to go there ever since I was little.

Have you set your mind on a career choice yet? If so what is it?

I haven’t set my mind on a career choice yet, but I want to do something in healthcare or biology.

What is your favorite movie?

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Who inspires you the most? Why?

My mom inspires me the most. This is because she has done so much for me and my siblings, and is teaching me to be the kind of person I want to become.

What is your favorite subject? Why?

My favorite subject is science because it’s in our everyday life and I love understanding how everything works.

Who is your favorite teacher? Why?

My favorite teacher is Mrs. Jackson. She is so funny and sweet and she is super helpful.

What is your favorite thing to do? Why?

My favorite thing to do is spend time with family, cheer, or soccer. Family is the most important thing to me and I love being around my friends in soccer and cheer.

Kathryn Coy also goes by Katie. She is a very active, cool person. She is filled with leadership skills and is overall just someone to look up to. The NC Phoenix was glad to interview Coy and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.
